Essay Topics - Is There Such a Thing As a Yes Or No Essay Topic?

Essay Topics - Is There Such a Thing As a 'Yes Or No' Essay Topic? Why is it that some people go into it all by themselves when writing a college essay and other students put their hands in the air when they think about 'yes or no' essay topics? Is there such a thing as a 'no or yes' essay topic? Well, there is; however, not everyone will be able to make the same point and equally significant statements on their essay. In this article I will explain what a 'yes or no' essay topic is and also discuss why many people have trouble with them. There is no such term as a 'yes or no' essay topic. It is just a generalization that is considered not as much 'an art as it is a science'. In order to write a good essay, you need to know the types of topics that will be given to you. Some of the things that you need to know are, whether you will be asked to write a thesis statement, a discussion, a statement of purpose, or a conclusion. For every type of topic, the rule is to avoid the word 'yes' an d to use 'no' when writing. However, many people use such terminology incorrectly. They feel that it is easy to get into trouble if they use 'yes' when writing an essay. But in fact it is not easy. And if you stick to the rules, you should write your essay with confidence and great ideas. When you are asked to write a thesis statement, you can either write a 'yes or no' statement, or you can use the word 'explain' instead. For example, some people use the term 'different types of research' in their essays. This is incorrect. They are actually asking you to describe different kinds of activities that you did to research a particular topic. So, if you want to tell about the things that you did to research the topic, you can write the following: 'Iresearched people, places, and things that describe the topic.' Or, if you are asked to explain the topic, you can say, 'People love animals so I studied them. Then I learned about certain animal diseases.'Another thing that you should avoid do ing is 'attacking' the topic. A good example of this is to use the phrase 'evidence for'. You can then provide evidence and reasons for your position. However, if you use 'attack' you may be labeled as 'impugning' the topic and will need to use a bold font to make it more clear. In addition, you should never ask the reader to provide evidence. They can give you evidence if they really want to. What you should do is provide the facts that you think are relevant to the topic at hand. But, if they provide you with a list of reasons for your position, you should be prepared to explain your view.By following these tips, you will find that you are able to write the right answers to the questions that you are asked. Therefore, you will always leave them with some room for debate. This is the way you will learn how to write an essay that will appeal to the reader. It is also the best way to answer the 'yes or no' essay topics that you are often faced with.
